Technical Service Desk – Level 1 IT Support

About the role
Unisys is expanding its Service Desk team in Canberra, providing Level 1 IT support to Federal Government clients. The role offers industry‑best training, a collaborative environment, and clear pathways for career progression in information technology.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first‑level IT support for software, hardware and network issues.
- Respond to, resolve and document customer requests and incidents.
- Assign incidents to the appropriate support groups and manage workload to meet service‑level targets.
- Perform diagnostics, initiate problem‑management workflows and supply reference numbers to clients.
Required profile
- Baseline Security Clearance and Australian citizenship.
- Customer‑service experience preferred.
- Relevant IT education or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to work rotating 24/7 shifts, including nights and weekends.
Required skills
- Basic troubleshooting of software, hardware and network components.
- Accurate incident documentation and use of a contact‑management system.
