Technical Sales Representative - Mechanical Equipment

About the role

Chain & Drives, a supplier of mechanical power transmission solutions (bearings, belts, gearboxes, couplings and chain drives) serving industries across Australia, is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to join its newly established Brisbane team and help expand its footprint across Queensland. The role covers MRO, OEMs, distributors and end users.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities across industrial sectors
• Manage and expand existing accounts, focusing on customer satisfaction and retention
• Identify new opportunities across the full product portfolio
• Work with engineering teams to deliver tailored, site-specific solutions
• Manage the sales process through the CRM system to reach agreed objectives
• Visit clients regularly for meetings, site inspections and product introductions

Required profile

• Proactive, technically minded sales professional
• Preferred: technical background alongside sales experience with technical products
• 2+ years in business development or technical sales within industrial or mechanical components
• Experience across industrial sectors or applications
• Background in power transmission products such as couplings, motors, gearboxes, bearings or drives
• Brisbane-based with flexibility to travel throughout Queensland
• Aptitude for sales, with experience in power transmission or bulk materials handling highly regarded
• Right to live and work in Australia

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, consultative and solution-oriented
• Confidence managing the full sales cycle across direct and distributor channels
