Technical Sales Engineer - Client Solutions

About the role

RCR Mining Technologies is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to join its business development team in Welshpool, Perth. As the Technical Sales Engineer - Client Solutions, you will act as the link between clients and the engineering teams, working with customers in the Mining, Defence, Rail and Renewable Energy sectors. The role covers the full project lifecycle, from early engagement and concept development through to delivery and ongoing support.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across Mining, Defence, Rail and Renewables.
• Engage with customers to understand their operational challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Translate client requirements into practical, executable engineering solutions.
• Support opportunities from early-stage studies through to delivery and aftermarket support.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and project delivery teams.
• Contribute to technical and commercial proposals, tenders and solution development.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, value engineering and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Industrial Hydraulics or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience with OEM equipment, heavy industry, mining equipment or complex industrial systems.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, able to engage with stakeholders from workshop staff to senior decision-makers.
• A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in understanding customer needs.
