Technical Project Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead complex technology projects in the satellite communications and networking space. You will work directly with clients to understand requirements, scope solutions, and own delivery from initiation to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Work with clients to define requirements, scope and deliver technical projects.
• Translate client needs into clear project plans, deliverables and timelines.
• Lead project delivery across technical, commercial and client stakeholders.
• Manage risks, dependencies, budgets, milestones and project reporting.
• Coordinate technical teams and ensure delivery stays on track.
• Act as the key interface between clients and internal delivery teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or Project Manager.
• Background in satellite communications (SATCOM), networking or telecommunications.
• Strong client‑facing and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and turn them into executable projects.
• Experience working with Federal Government or Defence.
• Current security clearance, or ability to obtain one.
• Canberra based, or willing to relocate.
