Technical Facilities Coordinator

About the role

JLL is hiring a Technical Facilities Coordinator in Sydney to keep client workplaces running safely, smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with the Site Technical Facilities Manager, you will inspect mechanical and electrical equipment, monitor building management systems and respond quickly to facility issues. The role suits someone who combines hands-on technical skill with clear communication.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect office spaces each morning to confirm site readiness before opening hours
• Carry out daily visual inspections of M&E equipment with the Site Technical Facilities Manager
• Monitor BMS alarms, trends and equipment status for power, cooling and life-safety systems, escalating abnormalities as needed
• Serve as day-to-day contact for occupants, IT and operations teams on facility impacts, access needs and service restoration updates
• Raise proactive work orders and manage reactive ones in line with required SLAs
• Mobilise and supervise vendors for preventive maintenance and inspections, including occasional weekend or after-hours coverage (about one Saturday per month, rotated with the Engineering team)
• Respond to M&E alarms promptly, arriving on site within two hours
• Maintain asset records, equipment histories and documentation such as single-line diagrams, sequences, as-builts and O&M manuals
• Submit monthly job records and ensure clear, logged shift handovers

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
• Experience with M&E equipment such as UPS, generators, CRAC units, chillers, pumps and ATS/STS systems
• Experience in a critical or mission-critical facility setting
• Experience supervising or coordinating third-party vendors and contractors
• Proactive, detail-oriented approach to spotting and resolving facility issues early

Required skills

• Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and interpreting alarms and trends
• Understanding of HSE compliance and statutory requirements
• Work order management platforms (CMMS)
• Change management exposure in regulated or client-compliance environments
