Tech Training Specialist, DCEO, AWS Infra Operations

About the role

AWS Infrastructure Services designs, plans, delivers and operates AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centres, servers, storage, networking, power and cooling. As a Tech Training Specialist (DCEO), you will deliver technical training for Data Center External Operations teams on critical infrastructure systems such as electrical, mechanical, UPS, HVAC, generators and fire suppression. You will also run initial technical training for new hires so they can operate and maintain mission-critical facility infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver instructor-led training on electrical distribution, mechanical systems, UPS, HVAC, generators and fire suppression, and manage initial training logistics (scheduling, classrooms, labs).
• Conduct hands-on training on switchgear, generators, cooling systems and BMS; monitor trainee progress and keep accurate training records.
• Serve as subject matter expert for lab equipment and facilities, maintain and optimise training spaces, and develop SOPs for lab equipment.
• Create practical scenarios for real-world infrastructure situations and emergencies, and support setup and commissioning of new training labs across regions.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to improve training materials and content, gather feedback and stay current with critical infrastructure technologies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of Microsoft Office experience.
• 3+ years in a team lead capacity supporting, training and mentoring maintenance technicians.
• 3+ years of predictive and preventative maintenance, safety standards and troubleshooting of material handling equipment.
• Experience as a trainer and ability to manage a classroom of learners.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, nights and holidays.

Preferred qualifications

• Technical writing or multimedia content creation experience.
• Project management experience.
• Training delivered across multiple sites or regions.
