Team Manager - Defence Theatre Logistics

About the role

Toll Group is expanding its Government and Defence portfolio through the Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL) contract and is looking for a Team Manager with a forklift licence to join its Defence logistics and warehousing team. Based at Royal Military College in Campbell, ACT, the role supports warehouse operations, inventory control, freight handling and the safe movement of Defence equipment and materials. It is open to Australian citizens only, as candidates must complete and pass a government security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, store, pick, pack and dispatch Defence equipment and supplies.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Use warehouse systems to manage stock accurately and act on reports.
• Maintain safety standards, site cleanliness and compliance with Defence regulations.
• Work under the supervision of the Team Leader, reporting to the Operations Manager, and ensure tasks comply with Toll's Government and Defence contractual requirements.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain an AGSVA Defence security clearance (baseline level or higher).
• Valid C class driver's licence.
• Willingness to work outdoors delivering stores and equipment to Defence personnel in the field.
• Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.
• Eligible to undergo pre-employment checks including criminal history and medical assessments.
• Experience in warehousing, logistics or related fields is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Current forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one).
• Warehouse systems and inventory management.
• Strong teamwork, communication, attention to detail and time management.
