Team Leader Practice & Integrated Support

About the role

McAuley supports women and children who have experienced family violence and homelessness through accommodation, legal, health, recreation and social support. It is recruiting a full-time Team Leader for its Community Services program, based in Footscray with the ability to travel across McAuley sites. The position reports to the Area Manager of Homelessness and Family Violence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team delivering trauma-informed, person-centred support
• Provide specialist guidance on complex needs, risk management, safety planning and recovery-focused outcomes
• Build team capability through coaching, supervision and reflective practice
• Drive quality improvement through outcome monitoring, client feedback and continuous improvement
• Strengthen partnerships with housing, mental health and community services
• Contribute to service innovation, program development and sector leadership

Required profile

• Permanent full-time position (38 hours per week)
• Relevant qualification in Community Services or a related field
• Experience leading, coaching or supervising teams in family violence, homelessness, mental health or community services
• Demonstrated experience with risk assessments, safety planning and coordinated support planning
• Understanding of MARAM, family violence legislation and Victorian service systems
• Understanding of Aboriginal cultures, values and the challenges faced by Aboriginal children and families
• Willingness to travel across McAuley sites, including Western Melbourne and Ballarat
• Right to work in Australia, valid driver's licence, satisfactory criminal history check, valid Working with Children Check and valid NDIS Worker Check
