Team Leader - Children's Services

About the role

MacDonnell Regional Council is recruiting a Team Leader for its Children's Services, based in one of its 13 communities in the Northern Territory. You will act as the nominated supervisor for childcare services and provide and develop high-quality, culturally relevant Early Childhood Education for children from birth to school age. The role is full-time and fixed-term until 30 June 2027, with the potential for extension.

Required profile

• Completed or working towards a Certificate III qualification in Early Childhood, with a commitment to work towards a Diploma in Early Education and Care.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role or a childhood setting.
• Experience in leading and managing teams.
• An adaptable, collaborative approach and a passion for making a difference.
• Understanding of Aboriginal culture, or a willingness to learn it, is essential, as 78% of the council's workforce is Aboriginal.
