Team Leader (Adult Community Corrections)

About the role

The Department of Justice is seeking a Team Leader for Adult Community Corrections. This senior position reports to the Manager Adult Community Corrections and leads a team responsible for managing offenders on community orders, including high‑risk individuals, to ensure community safety and offender rehabilitation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a team that monitors and manages offenders on community orders across Western Australia.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and safety protocols for both offenders and the community.
• Provide advice and recommendations to courts and releasing authorities.
• Promote effective communication, integrity and respect in all interactions.
• Operate within the Department’s corporate governance framework, policies and procedures.
• Represent the Department on committees and working groups as required.
• Drive cultural and management reforms and support business improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
• Commitment to the Department’s goals of safety, security and rehabilitation.
• Ability to work collaboratively and model ethical behaviour.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive employment screening, including a National Criminal History Check.
