Tax Superintendent – APAC Tax Compliance Lead

About the role

Play a key role across complex Australian and international tax matters. Partner with senior finance leaders, external advisors and tax authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage APAC tax compliance obligations including income tax, GST, withholding tax and related filings.
• Prepare quarterly tax reporting and updates for management and key stakeholders.
• Handle tax effect accounting and deferred tax calculations in line with IFRS requirements.
• Provide timely, commercially focused tax advice across the business.
• Respond to enquiries from tax authorities and support tax audits.
• Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors and regional finance teams.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, including SOX compliance.

Required profile

• Strong background in tax compliance and planning within the business services industry.
• Expert knowledge of local and international tax laws and regulations.
• Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA or equivalent preferred.
