Tax Senior Associate - Corporate and Global Tax

About the role

PwC Australia is recruiting a Tax Professional (Senior Associate level) within its Corporate and Global Tax business, which includes Tax Controversy, US tax advisory, Goods and Services Tax and Real Estate and Infrastructure Tax. The role is based at one of the PwC offices in Australia and involves advising clients on compliance, risk management and strategic tax planning.

Key responsibilities

• Support clients, including financial services firms, through the changing tax landscape and build trusted relationships
• Manage client portfolios and liaise with taxation authorities
• Work on complex tax projects, including corporate and global tax, tax controversy, GST and real estate and infrastructure tax
• Help clients manage their Australian tax obligations and solve complex tax technical questions
• Drive the use of technology and automation to improve client compliance processes
• Coach, mentor and develop junior team members

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; postgraduate qualifications such as an MBA or Master's are highly regarded
• Tax advisory and compliance experience in a Big 4, mid-tier firm or law firm
• Good understanding of the Australian tax market with exposure to international markets
• Ability to use data analytics for decision-making and to assist with regulatory reviews, investigations and disclosures
• Strong research, problem-solving, collaboration and communication skills, with attention to detail and integrity
