Tax Manager – Corporate & International

About the role

Moore Australia is looking for a Tax Manager (or Senior Manager) to join its fast‑growing Deals & Advisory division. You will work with a diverse client base that includes listed companies, inbound and outbound groups, and large privately owned businesses with turnover exceeding $1 bn. The position is advisory‑focused and offers a clear pathway to partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and review technical tax advice, position papers and ATO engagement matters such as rulings, submissions and dispute support.
• Lead tax due‑diligence and transaction support for buy‑side and sell‑side deals, including deal structuring and post‑acquisition integration.
• Advise on international tax issues including inbound/outbound structuring, CFCs, withholding taxes, thin‑capitalisation, permanent establishment risk and tax treaty interpretation.
• Participate in transfer pricing and Pillar 2 projects as required.
• Oversee compliance and tax‑effect accounting work, ensuring high quality and commercial outcomes.
• Manage end‑to‑end delivery – scope, timelines, budgets and stakeholder coordination – while coaching and developing team members.

Required profile

• Highly organised, responsive and calm under pressure with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Strong complex tax advisory experience with practical exposure to international tax matters.
• Excellent written communication skills, able to translate technical analysis into clear, commercially focused advice.
• Proven client relationship management abilities.
