Systems Engineer / Safety Assurance Consultant (Brisbane)

About the role

Think Systems is expanding its specialist consultancy team in Brisbane. We are seeking systems thinkers and practical problem solvers with experience in Systems Engineering, Safety Assurance, or Human Factors to work on high‑consequence transport, infrastructure and defence programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert consulting in systems engineering, integration, safety assurance and human factors for complex projects.
• Support client positioning, tender responses, proposal development and relationship‑building activities.
• Produce clear, accurate, decision‑ready documentation with minimal supervision.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and work independently as required.
• Travel within Australia to meet client and project needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of relevant experience.
• Expertise in at least one of Systems Engineering, Safety Assurance, or Human Factors, with flexibility to support adjacent technical streams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to make complex problems clear and practical.
• Practical problem‑solving ability and sound professional judgement.
• Willingness to travel domestically when required.
