About the role

A casual, ongoing swimming teacher position in Heidelberg, within the Learn to Swim department. The work is described as flexible and study-friendly, suitable for students, retirees and parents with school-aged children. Applications close on 31 December 2026.

Required profile

  • Passion for working with children, young people or adults.
  • Current Australian swimming teacher qualification.
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check.
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation qualification.
  • International police check (international applicants only).
  • Teacher competency assessment as part of the application process; all applicants must complete training, screening and a background check under Child Safe Standards.

Desirable qualifications

  • Infant, Access and Inclusion or competitive strokes teaching qualifications.
  • First Aid Level 2 qualification.
  • Pool lifeguard qualification.
