Supporter Relations Officer

About the role

The Supporter Relations Officer will deliver high‑quality experiences for donors and participants across Black Dog Institute’s fundraising initiatives, focusing on retention and engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Process and administer donations received via mail and electronic funds transfer, ensuring accurate receipting and timely financial reconciliation.
• Monitor the fundraising PO Box, manage inbound enquiries across phone, email, social media, mail and SMS, and provide responsive participant support.
• Support ongoing fundraising operations and flagship campaigns, including managing enquiries, moderating community interactions and providing participant assistance.
• Conduct proactive outbound engagement such as follow‑up calls and personalised communications to inspire and retain supporters.
• Maintain donor databases, update records and generate reports to support operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Experience in donor or fundraiser retention and customer service across multiple communication channels.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to process high volumes of donations accurately.
• Proactive approach to outreach and relationship building with supporters.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a fundraising team and support campaign delivery.

• Salary range $65,000‑$68,000 per year plus superannuation.
