Support Services Centre Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking a results‑driven Support Services Centre (SSC) Manager for its OASIS program in Alice Springs, Australia. You will lead a high‑performing team to deliver critical customer services, scheduling, hospitality and administrative functions, ensuring operational excellence and mission success.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day SSC operations, driving process optimisation and meeting program milestones.
• Build, coach and develop a collaborative team, fostering a culture of engagement and continuous improvement.
• Work closely with OASIS leaders and stakeholders to align service delivery with organisational goals.
• Analyse performance metrics and KPIs, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain compliance with Amentum standards, regulatory requirements and risk‑management best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of leadership experience in a support services centre or comparable operational environment.
• Proven ability to manage finance, HR, IT or other business support functions with a focus on process efficiency.
• Demonstrated success in mentoring diverse teams and driving a culture of accountability and innovation.
• Strong analytical mindset with strategic decision‑making skills under pressure.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process‑improvement expertise.
• Experience with ERP systems and tools such as SAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Knowledge of work‑order management, CRM and workforce‑scheduling software.
• Ability to develop and use KPIs for performance monitoring.
