Support Coordinator - NDIS

About the role

A Support Coordinator is needed in Mackay, Queensland, to work closely with participants and help them navigate the NDIS so they get the most out of their plans. This is a casual position.

Key responsibilities

• Support and empower participants to make their own choices about how they want to live their lives
• Coordinate a variety of services so participants can live fulfilling lives in the community
• Engage with and manage key stakeholders such as government agencies, community and clinical service providers and families, making sure supports are used and not duplicated
• Work with participants to strengthen their ability to coordinate their own supports

Required profile

• Working knowledge of the NDIS (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills and commitment to best practice
• Team experience and the ability to engage recipients quickly and effectively
• Ability to work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities and individuals
• Certificate IV in Mental Health (desirable)
• Current minimum P1 "C" class Queensland driver's licence, a roadworthy and fully insured vehicle, and First Aid and CPR certificates (obtainable)
• Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (obtainable)
