Supply Planner

About the role

The Supply Planner ensures efficient management of inventory and supply chain processes, keeping stock levels optimal, forecasting demand and working with other departments so products are available for customers while minimising excess inventory. The position can be based in Brisbane, QLD or Newcastle, NSW.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels to prevent stock shortages and excess inventory.
• Develop and maintain supply plans aligned with demand forecasts and operational capacity.
• Raise and manage purchase orders, supplier schedules and delivery performance.
• Coordinate with procurement, production, sales, logistics and warehouse teams to ensure supply continuity.
• Analyse inventory and planning data to identify risks, improve service levels and reduce costs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning and supply chain processes.
• Maintain inventory data in the ERP system.

Required profile

• 2-5 years' experience in supply planning, inventory planning, logistics, procurement or supply chain management.
• Manufacturing, industrial or construction industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in import and export shipping operations.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen, including cost management and contract oversight.
• Experience working across international jurisdictions and regulatory environments.
• Desirable: degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Commerce or a related discipline; professional certification such as APICS, CSCP or CILT.

Required skills

• Desirable: advanced Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, D365).
• Desirable: supplier and stakeholder meetings, meeting minutes, digital supply chain technologies, analytics and reporting tools.
