Logistics and Groundskeeping Contractor

About the role

Smart Suites manages 100+ Airbnb-style suites in Brisbane's southern suburbs and is looking for a reliable, hands-on independent contractor to keep its properties clean, tidy and guest-ready. The role suits someone who enjoys outdoor work, values consistency and is comfortable working independently across several locations. It is full-time, about 25-30 hours per week, paid $28-$35 per hour, based in Rocklea, Acacia Ridge, Kuraby and Sunnybank.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate linen deliveries and collections across properties, restock clean linen and remove used items
• Transport and manage supplies and inventory such as toiletries, cleaning items and small equipment, and plan efficient daily routes
• Mow lawns, trim, weed control and general garden upkeep, and keep outdoor and common areas tidy
• Perform minor, non-technical repairs (light bulbs, fixtures, small fixes) and assist with furniture moving, setup and assembly
• Manage bin placement and return, and carry out general checks so properties are guest-ready
• Report completed tasks and issues through internal systems and escalate maintenance or operational concerns

Required profile

• 2-3+ years' experience in groundskeeping, logistics, maintenance or similar hands-on roles
• Own transport and a driver's licence (own transport preferred but not required; a company vehicle may be provided depending on workload)
• Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor and active work
• Valid Australian work authorization; ABN preferred and must be obtained within 30 days of starting if not already held
• Willingness to undergo a background check (police check required)
