Supply Officer – Procurement & Logistics Support

About the role

The Supply Officer (ERP Purchasing, Codification Support) reports to the Supply Manager and is responsible for day‑to‑day purchasing, codification and cataloguing for the area. This permanent, full‑time position is based in Sydney and requires a Baseline Defence Security Clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee procurement and sparing activities to align with lifecycle and support targets.
• Monitor engineering change procurements, flagging risks or issues.
• Manage inventory logistics, stock holdings and supply‑demand coordination.
• Source alternatives for material shortages and maintain supplier relationships.
• Maintain master data in ERP, including stock codes and cataloguing.
• Support lifecycle cost analysis and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Handle obsolescence, configuration data, and disposal processes in compliance with regulations.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Materiel Logistics or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or logistics engineering within Defence or a related technical industry.
• Strong knowledge of Defence logistics management systems and ERP platforms.
• Understanding of Defence procurement processes; exposure to SCPM and AMPs is advantageous.
• Eligibility for ITAR clearance and ability to hold an active Baseline Defence Security Clearance.
