Supply Chain Optimisation Manager

About the role

Our client is a fast‑growing, multi‑channel Australian brand operating wholesale, retail and e‑commerce with ambitious expansion into Europe and the US. They are investing heavily in their supply chain function and have created a senior leadership position reporting to the Chief Merchandise and Strategy Officer. The role will own the end‑to‑end Supply Chain Improvement Roadmap, covering freight, fulfilment, inventory deployment, 3PL performance, systems and S&OP.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the transition from a distributor to an agent model and establish the first EU B2B 3PL capability.
• Redesign freight tiers, shipping thresholds and free‑freight structures across wholesale and e‑commerce channels.
• Re‑evaluate inventory positioning (local vs offshore) to improve productivity and service levels.
• Review and renegotiate 3PL and logistics partnerships, beginning with the US network.
• Own the monthly S&OP process end‑to‑end and chair the cross‑functional forum.
• Introduce AI and advanced analytics into forecasting, scenario modelling and network optimisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience improving or transforming supply chains, not just operating them.
• Strong commercial and analytical abilities, comfortable with data and board‑room presentations.
• Hands‑on experience managing and negotiating with 3PL/logistics partners.
• Exposure to S&OP or business planning processes.
• A detail‑oriented mindset with a willingness to challenge the status‑quo.
• Multi‑channel (wholesale/retail/e‑commerce) experience and international logistics exposure, especially in the US.
