Supply Chain & Logistics Lead

About the role

Metrea is building its Australian presence and seeks a Supply Chain & Logistics Lead to oversee logistics and supply chain operations for a diverse fleet of aircraft, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective aircraft operations in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage spare parts inventory, procurement, and supply chain processes to minimise downtime and optimise costs.
• Develop and implement logistics strategies for aircraft operations, maintenance, and deployment across CASA, FAA and EASA jurisdictions.
• Oversee dangerous goods handling, shipping and compliance with IATA DGR, CAA, FAA and EASA standards.
• Ensure all logistics activities comply with regulatory frameworks and ITAR requirements, maintaining accurate records and reporting.
• Lead a global supply chain team, drive demand planning, predictive analytics and act as senior supply chain advisor to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, aviation management or supply chain management with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing logistics for diverse aircraft fleets, including Challenger‑type jets and turboprops such as King Air.
• Familiarity with CASA, FAA and EASA regulatory frameworks and ITAR processes.
• Strong network of aviation procurement contacts and logistics providers.

Required skills

• Logistics management software and ERP systems proficiency.
• Expertise in IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and ITAR compliance.
• Inventory management, demand planning and predictive analytics.
• Leadership and cross‑functional team management.
