Sub-Foreman - Construction

About the role

Parkview Constructions, a multi-award-winning Sydney-based construction company founded in 1997 with over 180 staff across multiple projects, is looking for a Sub-Foreman. The role reports to the Site Manager and coordinates design and structural elements, services reticulation, formwork erection, materials handling, services coordination through to finishes, facades and defects, and oversees plant equipment and trade crews.

Key responsibilities

• Manage specific construction activities to use materials and resources efficiently
• Work with the Site Manager on receiving and distributing site correspondence
• Maintain quality assurance and building compliance
• Monitor environmental site issues and notify the Site Manager of major operational impacts
• Build professional relationships with authorities, subcontractors and delegates
• Monitor and mark up programmes and supervise day-to-day site events
• Take part in the Sub-Foreman Program and complete its paperwork on time

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Building & Construction (minimum)
• At least 2 years in a similar position
• High-rise construction experience preferred
• Knowledge of construction from excavation and groundwork through to structures and finishes
• Self-motivated, with leadership, multi-tasking and strong interpersonal skills

Required skills

• Reading and understanding plans and drawings, and giving constructive feedback on final designs
• Communication and presentation skills
