Strategy Manager (SaaS)

About the role

CreditorWatch, an Australian data and technology company acquired by Warburg Pincus, is hiring a Strategy Manager in Sydney CBD. The role is full-time and hybrid, reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, and is described as a build role: you will own strategic projects from the first question through to an executive decision, and help shape an AI-enabled strategy function.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and size the strategic opportunities that matter most over the next three years, using data to uncover insights and challenge assumptions
• Bring an external perspective through competitor analysis, adjacent markets and international trends
• Build commercially grounded financial models to support investment decisions and develop a deep understanding of business economics
• Own the strategic narrative, turn analysis into clear recommendations for the executive team and board, and present your point of view to influence decisions
• Create the rhythms, processes, tools and workflows that make strategy repeatable, and stress-test your own thinking
• Use AI regularly across the strategy process, from early research to board-ready recommendations, with judgement over blind acceptance

Required profile

• 5+ years in management consulting, corporate strategy or a comparable role, ideally in technology or data
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Technology or a related field; an MBA is a plus
• End-to-end ownership of work, from framing problems to making recommendations and aligning stakeholders
• Ability to challenge assumptions and influence senior stakeholders

Required skills

• Analytical storytelling: leading with the answer and backing it with evidence
• Commercial acumen and comfort with financial modelling
• Hands-on AI use with a sense of when it adds value and when it does not
