State Manager NSW

About the role

Mars is looking for a State Manager for NSW to lead the execution of the Retail Plan for the state, covering sales, distribution and execution. The role also covers people development, coaching and performance management of Territory Managers, ensuring compliance and delivery of coverage allocation and plans so that objectives at store level are met or exceeded.

Key responsibilities

• Own total state sales targets and develop the strategy for NSW
• Work regularly in the field with Retail Representatives, tracking performance, merchandising, display and sales growth
• Manage Territory Managers' development, including training, performance input and individual KPI reviews
• Lead short- and long-term strategies in key MSOs and banners in NSW to optimise profitability and sales revenue
• Sell innovation and promotions, secure and maintain distribution, and analyse sales and trade spend
• Use customer insights to drive adoption of solutions and identify new opportunities, and monitor customer initiatives for continuous improvement

Required profile

• Professional degree in Business, Administration or equivalent
• 2+ years of sales experience with multi-functional teams in the fast-moving consumer goods industry
• People management experience
• Availability to travel to the Melbourne head office
• Account management experience is a plus
