Staff Software Engineer – Native Mobile (iOS or Android)

About the role

CommBank is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead its native mobile team, building the country’s most used banking apps. You will shape technical roadmaps, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high‑quality solutions across iOS and Android platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and production rollout of mobile features.
• Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and promote best‑practice engineering standards.
• Collaborate with technical leaders and product owners to document changes and drive initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews for the engineering squad.
• Champion a culture of quality, excellence, and openness throughout the team.

Required profile

• Full‑cycle engineering experience from ideation to ongoing maintenance.
• Ability to work independently while fostering a collaborative environment.
