Specialist Account Manager - HIV

About the role

ViiV Healthcare, a pharmaceutical company focused on HIV treatment and care, is looking for a Specialist Account Manager to join its team. The role promotes ViiV brands to healthcare professionals specialising in HIV. It is based in Brisbane and covers Queensland, a primarily metropolitan territory with regular travel throughout the state.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct best-in-industry selling conversations with ID physicians, immunologists, sexual health physicians, S100 GPs, specialist pharmacists and nurses.
• Analyse territory opportunities and lead the building of a strategy that incorporates key account management.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with the medical and marketing teams to influence ViiV's strategic approach.
• Maintain a high level of HIV disease-state product knowledge and build a reliable, trusted perception of ViiV.

Required profile

• Proven track record of high performance in a pharma specialist or hospital sales position.
• Bachelor degree in a science or business-related discipline.
• Practical knowledge of the Australian healthcare system, particularly pharmacy, hospitals and formularies.
• Strong business acumen, ability to influence and demonstrated performance.
• Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of and interest in HIV preferred.
