Specialised Carer - Dementia Care

About the role

HammondCare Daw Park is looking for an experienced permanent part-time Specialised Carer in Dementia Care. The role fits around two rosters, each a 46-hour fortnight, with experienced Registered Nurses and Managers on site. Experience of 2+ years in aged care is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as showering, grooming and toileting
• Engage residents and support them with levels of dementia
• Recognise, report and respond appropriately to changes in residents' condition
• Work consistently on the same days, for example Monday to Wednesday morning or Thursday to Sunday afternoon

Required profile

• Certificate III in aged care is mandatory
• 2+ years of experience in aged care
• Knowledge and experience of people living with dementia and their needs
• Able to commit to the roster and work consistent days
• Team player who can also work independently and show initiative
