Solutions Architect - Core Banking

About the role

We are seeking a Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Core Banking, Cards and Payment Hub environments to design secure, scalable and resilient architectures that support business and technology transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end solution architecture for platforms supporting Core Banking, Cards and Payment Hub capabilities.
• Translate business, operational and regulatory requirements into scalable architectural solutions.
• Define architecture patterns for microservices‑based applications and distributed platforms.
• Lead secure cloud and hybrid architecture design, including integration between cloud services and on‑premises infrastructure.
• Partner with delivery, engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure architecture is implementable and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Support firewall opening processes, connectivity enablement and required cybersecurity approval activities.
• Establish platform observability, including monitoring, logging, alerting and operational health capabilities.

Required profile

• Deep domain knowledge in Core Banking platforms and experience in Cards and Payments Hub ecosystems.
• Understanding of the Australian banking and cards landscape, including payment processing and integration considerations.
• Experience designing enterprise‑grade solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
• Proven expertise in microservices architecture, API design and security, and event‑driven integration patterns.
