Software Tester (12‑month contract)

About the role

The Perth Mint is seeking a dedicated Software Tester to join its IT team on a 12‑month contract. You will help ensure the quality of our applications that support world‑renowned precious‑metal products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed test plans and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
• Execute functional, integration and regression tests, recording results and defects in the test management tool.
• Identify, document and prioritize defects, collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
• Review requirements and specifications to guarantee test coverage and provide feedback for clarity.
• Work closely with developers, analysts, project managers and other QA team members.
• Provide regular test progress reports, highlighting risks and results.
• Champion quality assurance practices and contribute to continuous improvement of test processes.
• Ensure testing complies with organisational policies, standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or equivalent industry experience.
• Demonstrated experience in software testing, including test design and execution.
• Knowledge of testing tools and a solid understanding of the SDLC and STLC.
