Software Engineer – Mission Integration

About the role

KBR is looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join its Mission Integration team in Brisbane, developing software that supports critical Defence capabilities. You will work in an agile environment alongside engineers, project managers and Defence stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑quality software following KBR engineering standards and best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand‑ups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Design, code, test and maintain applications using ASP.NET, C#, HTML and JavaScript.
• Perform unit, performance and system integration testing.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Support continuous improvement of software engineering processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer.
• Active NV1 Defence Security Clearance (or higher).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
