Software Engineer – Level 1 (Hybrid) – Brisbane

About the role

Ideagen is seeking a Software Engineer L1 to join its Product R&D team in Brisbane. The role is hybrid, offering the chance to work with experienced professionals on modern technologies across the full software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to gather, analyse, and refine requirements.
• Work with UX designers and solution architects to plan and deliver development work through user stories.
• Build and maintain data models, repositories, and reusable APIs using REST and/or GraphQL.
• Develop algorithms and software solutions that support business requirements.
• Integrate and process data from multiple sources, including IoT devices.
• Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and support quality standards.
• Partner with QA teams to ensure thorough testing and minimise regression.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation and support software releases.

Required profile

• Experience with Microsoft .NET or .NET Framework development, preferably using C#.
• Knowledge of SQL Server or a comparable relational database platform.
• Familiarity with cloud development environments such as AWS.
• Experience developing and testing APIs, including GraphQL.
