Software Engineer - Cloud Services

About the role

NetApp is looking for a Software Engineer to develop and maintain cloud-based solutions. You will solve complex problems, develop, test and automate features, and take a lead role in designing and implementing managed Cloud Services. The role involves 24x7 on-call rotation and mentoring junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in incident management and 24x7 on-call rotations to resolve production issues within agreed SLAs/SLOs.
• Deliver features across the full software development lifecycle, from product design and specification to verification and delivery.
• Monitor system health, availability and latency with Google native tooling and improve performance, availability and reliability.
• Work on development, bug fixes, spec updates, customer root cause analyses and automation.
• Mentor junior members, take part in interviews and help build high-performing teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a master's degree, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated ability to complete multiple moderately complex technical tasks.

Required skills

• C, C++ or Golang (proficiency in one of them).
• Linux or other Unix-like operating systems.
• Data structures and algorithms, and REST API design and implementation.
• Infrastructure automation with tools such as Ansible, Python, Go, Perl or Ruby.
• Containers, Kubernetes and serverless computing.
• SDLC, distributed systems and DevOps methodologies.
• Filesystem and distributed system development experience is desirable.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud, AWS or Azure is preferred.

What we offer

• Target salary range of 170,000 to 253,000 USD, depending on location, qualifications and experience.
