Social Media Officer

About the role

The RACGP is hiring a full-time, permanent Social Media Officer to create, schedule and maintain engaging content across its social channels. The role reports to the Public Affairs Manager and works closely with the Social Media & Content Specialist and other RACGP teams, supporting campaigns, community engagement and a consistent social media presence. It is based in a flexible location within Australia, with WFH options available.

Key responsibilities

• Create, schedule and maintain engaging content across RACGP social channels
• Monitor social channels, enquiries and online conversations, escalating sensitive or reputational issues when required
• Support RACGP teams managing online GP communities, including Facebook and WhatsApp groups
• Track social media performance and campaign results to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
• Stay up to date with platform changes, emerging trends and social media best practice, sharing insights with the team

• Strong social media copywriting skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Sound judgement and confident communication
• Valid right to work in Australia
