Site Manager – Modernisation Team

About the role

KONE is seeking a Site Manager to lead its Modernisation Team in Canberra, ACT. The role oversees project delivery across the ACT and NSW, ensuring safety, quality and customer satisfaction while managing people, resources and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a safety‑focused culture to meet KONE’s safety targets.
• Ensure work is performed according to defined procedures, guidelines and compliance standards.
• Lead, coach and develop the on‑site team, managing performance and skill growth.
• Communicate effectively with customers and subcontractors throughout the installation process.
• Plan and organise delivery, storage and handling of materials and tools on site.
• Champion continuous‑improvement initiatives to optimise processes and outcomes.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing projects at a site level.
• Proven experience leading a team of tradespeople or technicians.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications preferred (Construction Management, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or Trade qualifications).
• Lift industry experience is highly regarded.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance.
• Current Australian driver’s licence, White card, asbestos awareness and silica awareness certifications.
