Site Manager

About the role

The Site Manager will be based on‑site in Adelaide, overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to quality standards. This full‑time position works closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to drive successful outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate trades to maintain progress against program milestones.
• Manage materials, equipment, and site resources efficiently.
• Monitor health, safety, environmental compliance and conduct regular site inspections.
• Maintain accurate site records, reports, and documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve issues and manage risks.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for productivity and construction methods.

Required profile

• Proven experience in site supervision and construction management on commercial or large‑scale projects.
• Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety, quality assurance, and environmental management practices.
• Effective stakeholder communication and leadership abilities.
• Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate IV or Diploma in Building and Construction, or an equivalent trade/technical background.
• Problem‑solving mindset, attention to detail, and sound decision‑making in a fast‑paced environment.
• Current construction industry white card and any additional safety certifications.

Required skills

• Construction documentation and reporting.
• Reading and interpreting construction drawings.
• Use of project management or site management software.
• Knowledge of Australian building codes and standards.
• Workplace health and safety (WHS) compliance.
