Site Manager - Industrial Development

About the role

An established commercial builder is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a multi-level $40m industrial development in Port Melbourne. The builder has a strong pipeline of secured projects across Melbourne and offers a collaborative, supportive team environment. The role involves working alongside an experienced Project Manager and a well-resourced delivery team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all day-to-day site operations from commencement through to practical completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and suppliers so that programme milestones are achieved.
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality and compliance across the project.
• Oversee structural works, services coordination, external works and final finishes.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to manage construction programmes, site resources and project risks.
• Conduct site meetings, inspections and quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 10+ years' experience as a Site Manager in commercial or industrial construction.
• Proven experience delivering projects valued at $20m+, ideally in the industrial, logistics or commercial sectors.
• Strong understanding of structural steel, concrete construction, services coordination and external works.
• Excellent subcontractor management, programming and leadership skills.
• Relevant trade or construction qualifications.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Victorian building regulations and OH&S requirements.
