Site Manager – Construction Management (12‑month contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Site Manager to act as the client representative on the Bellambi Battery Energy Storage System project. Based on the Gulgong site, you will oversee the EPC contractor and Transgrid, ensuring construction meets contractual, safety, quality, and schedule requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the owner on‑site, managing EPC performance against contract terms, technical specifications, and schedule.
• Coordinate interfaces, risks and disputes with the EPC contractor and Transgrid.
• Liaise with local authorities and manage the assigned Site Coordinator.
• Monitor construction activities, attend witness points, and report compliance with design, codes, and standards.
• Ensure adherence to the company’s Health, Safety & Environment policy and Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Manage warranty, defect, and insurance claims.
• Verify use of the latest IFC drawings and support design optimisation and constructability reviews.
• Review and approve technical queries, design changes, and deviation requests.
• Implement HSSE documentation, risk registers, SWMS, permits, and participate in audits and investigations.
• Govern quality documentation (ITP/ITR), maintain a daily site diary, and prepare regulatory and internal reports.

Required profile

• Minimum TAFE qualification in project management, building & construction (site management) or renewable energy, OR at least 5 years trade experience with supervisory responsibility.
• At least 2 years experience managing construction on power or energy projects.
• Proven ability to manage contracts, risks, and stakeholder relationships on large‑scale infrastructure sites.
