Site Engineer - Electrical (Substations)

About the role

The Site Engineer – Electrical will join the Substation team on the Central‑West Orana Renewable Energy Zone project, supporting the design, construction and commissioning of high‑voltage transmission infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain quality and environmental standards, record non‑conformances and drive corrective actions.
• Prepare Inspection Test Reports and checklists that meet contract requirements.
• Plan materials, resources and construction methods to protect cost, quality and schedule.
• Monitor progress, coordinate activities and ensure schedule adherence.
• Coordinate resources, track subcontractor performance and lead daily cost planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 2–5 years post‑graduate experience in construction or engineering, preferably on substation projects.
• Organised, clear communicator able to keep work crews on track.
• Willingness to work on a bus‑in, bus‑out roster with camp accommodation.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of health, safety and environment (HS&E) and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with substation project documentation and inspection testing.
• Ability to plan materials, resources and construction methods.
