Services Engineer

About the role

Built, a privately owned construction company operating across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, is looking for a Services Engineer in Adelaide. The role coordinates the building services components and associated works of building projects and acts as a link between design, building services and sub-contractors so that project objectives are met.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor submissions, negotiate with subcontractors, manage insurance claims and handle services documentation
• Ensure pre-completion activities, certificates and head contractor obligations (OH&S, energy, efficiency, green credentials) are met
• Support the Services Manager with mechanical, fire and left services design and operations, plus programme and procurement planning
• Evaluate contract service variations and review subcontractor progress claims with the project team
• Monitor subcontractor performance, develop systems and procedures, and liaise with authorities, clients and consultants

Required profile

• Qualifications in mechanical engineering or an equivalent services trade
• Solid experience in building and construction, ideally in a role preceding Project Engineer
• Demonstrated understanding of building commissioning and handover principles
• Initiative, adaptability and planning and organisation skills
