Service Manager – Lead Australian Service Operations

About the role

Tomra Food is seeking an experienced Service Manager based in Melbourne to lead its Australian service operation. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end service delivery, including field service, customer care, technical training and project installations, while travelling up to 50% across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop multi‑functional teams covering field service, customer care, technical support and training.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage budgets, KPIs and overall business performance.
• Oversee project installations, commissioning and after‑sales service across a geographically dispersed network.
• Build strong customer relationships and ensure a high‑quality, customer‑centric service experience.

Required profile

• 6+ years of leadership experience and 10+ years in service, technical or operations roles within engineering, industrial or capital equipment sectors.
• Proven track record of developing high‑performing teams and delivering results in complex, multi‑site environments.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with responsibility for budgets and performance metrics.
• Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or equivalent industry experience.
