Service Consultant – Medical Indemnity

About the role

As a Service Consultant you will be the first point of contact for Avant members, delivering superior service across calls, emails and written correspondence. You will develop deep knowledge of Avant’s medical indemnity products, policies and procedures, providing a solid foundation for long‑term career growth.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver consistently superior service that exceeds member expectations.
• Provide high‑quality, accurate support across all service channels.
• Maintain member records with precision and confidentiality.
• Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support team goals and foster a collaborative culture.
• Assist during peak renewal periods at calendar and financial year‑ends.

Required profile

• Experience in a customer‑service focused role.
• Strong customer‑first mindset and excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
• Clear, confident communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability for full‑time hours (Monday‑Friday, 8am‑8pm AEST or 8am‑5pm AWST).

Required skills

• Experience in a service‑focused role.
• Analytical skills and proactive approach to process improvement.
• Knowledge of OH&S practices (preferred).
