Senior Web Designer
UpGuard · Hobart
Job description
About the role
UpGuard is building a Cyber Risk Posture Management platform and is adding a designer to a small growth squad of growth marketers, developers and one designer. The designer pitches ideas, designs landing pages, page sections and sign-up flows, works inside an established design system and sees the results of every test. About 80-90% of the time is spent on the web, with the rest on bigger creative moments such as interactive tools, launch pages and product demos.
Key responsibilities
- Design and ship website experiments: landing pages, page variants, UI modules, forms and CTAs, each built to test a clear hypothesis against a clear metric.
- Bring your own test ideas, write hypotheses and shape the brief with growth marketers, performance marketing, SEO and web developers.
- Design interactive web experiences such as product demos, scroll-driven stories, calculators and launch pages.
- Turn a complex security product into a story using real UI, product vignettes and motion.
- Grow the design system by building tests from it and turning winning patterns into reusable components.
- Design landing pages for paid campaigns that match tightly to the ads driving traffic.
- Prototype fast with AI tools in Figma or code, then hand off build-ready designs and QA responsiveness, accessibility and page speed.
- Review test results and turn them into a playbook of what converts.
Required profile
- 5+ years designing websites and marketing pages, with a portfolio showing tested and improved pages and at least one interactive or high-craft experience.
- Proven track record working in or alongside growth or performance marketing teams.
- Deep experience designing inside an existing design system in Figma, with judgement on when a new component belongs.
- Sharp UI and interaction craft: layout, typography, hierarchy, motion and responsive design from mobile to wide desktop.
- Proactive, autonomous team player comfortable running several tests at once and setting clear expectations with stakeholders.
Required skills
- Figma (components, variants, auto layout, variables)
- AI prototyping tools
- Nice to have: motion, interaction or 3D skills (Rive, Jitter, After Effects, Spline), interactive tools, data visualisation, Framer or Webflow, Awwwards/FWA recognition, B2B SaaS or cybersecurity experience, Meta and Google ads experience
What we offer
- Monthly lifestyle subsidy and WFH set-up allowance within the first 3 months
- $1500 USD annual learning and development allowance
- PTO plus two extra UpGuardian leave days, 18 weeks paid parental leave and personal leave allowance
- Fully remote work, with top-spec laptops provided
- Generative AI subscription subsidy
