Graphic Designer

About the role

obii, in partnership with ausbiz, is seeking a Graphic Designer for its Sydney-based team. The role suits someone creative and driven who wants to build a strong body of work; it is varied, with plenty of creative scope across social and digital content, websites, campaigns, reports and new concepts.

Key responsibilities

• Create engaging social and digital content that stands out in a crowded feed
• Communicate news, financial markets and data visually in a clear and compelling way
• Design for websites, marketing campaigns and new product launches
• Maintain consistent brand standards across all channels
• Produce video, motion graphics and content in emerging formats
• Pitch creative ideas and explore new approaches
• Work with editorial, marketing and product teams from brief to delivery

Required profile

• 3-5 years of professional graphic design experience, in an agency, media, finance or in-house creative team
• A strong portfolio showing creativity, versatility and good visual judgement
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and confidence presenting ideas
• Full working rights in Australia

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva
• Experience designing for digital and social platforms
• Solid understanding of typography, layout, colour and visual hierarchy
