Senior Trader / Export Sales Manager – Meat

About the role

Pace Vic, the exclusive recruitment partner of a privately owned, market-leading trading company based in Melbourne, is recruiting an experienced Senior Trader / Export Sales Manager for its Meat division. The business is expanding globally and offers autonomy in growing market share within the meat product trade, backed by an expert team and engaged management. The position is based in Sydney (CBD and Inner West).

Key responsibilities

• Prepare an annual personal sales forecast and develop market strategies to reach required profit targets.
• Identify and develop trade opportunities to global markets where Australian and international origin meat can enter.
• Build strong relationships with buyers, sellers and other third parties, and deepen them within customers' organisations.
• Plan a productive travel schedule for regular face-to-face meetings with key customers.
• Ensure all international contract terms and trading regulations are followed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in international trade across a range of global markets.
• At least 3 years of trading experience in the meat industry.
• Ability to travel regularly across Australia and overseas.

• Thorough understanding of international trading terms and risk management.
• Solutions-focused approach and excellent problem-solving skills.
