Senior Systems Administrator

About the role

Veeva Systems is seeking a senior Linux Systems Administrator to manage and evolve its customer‑facing production infrastructure. This hands‑on position works closely with Operations, Engineering, and Support teams in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot a large fleet of production Linux servers (Red Hat or Amazon Linux).
• Assist in building new infrastructure in AWS, including provisioning and configuration.
• Collaborate with Operations and Engineering to implement architecture changes, server updates, and enhancements.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents, including on‑call duties during nights and weekends.
• Research and evaluate new technologies, and develop internal tools for monitoring and automation.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of Unix/Linux administration in a production or SaaS environment, preferably with Red Hat or Amazon Linux.
• Experience with MySQL or other relational databases is strongly desired.
• Must be located within an Australian time zone (AWST/ACST/AEST).
