Software Engineer – Front‑end or Back‑end (FinTech Payments)

About the role

Zepto is scaling a world‑leading, real‑time payments platform and is looking for passionate software engineers to join its remote‑first team. You can focus on either front‑end or back‑end development and will work on high‑impact features that power Australia’s largest merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Create and ship new components for a mission‑critical payments platform.
• Continuously improve code quality, security, accessibility and performance.
• Collaborate with security, platform and incident‑management teams to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical insight to customer‑support and onboarding teams.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation supporting mission‑critical systems.
• Help integrate AI tools into development processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering robust, scalable software solutions.
• Confidence in shipping code changes and working closely with other engineers.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced, high‑volume commercial environment.
• Enthusiastic, solution‑focused mindset with a passion for continuous learning.
