Senior Solutions Architect - Public Sector (Canberra)

About the role

Elastic, the Search AI Company, is hiring a Senior Solutions Architect for its Public Sector practice in Australia, based in Canberra. The role acts as a technical advisor to the sales team, partners and customers, engaging with the regional Elastic community and helping solve business challenges with the Elastic Stack.

Key responsibilities

• Assess client requirements through detailed analysis, translate them into technical specifications and facilitate discussions to align expectations.
• Design scalable, robust system architectures, produce architectural documentation and diagrams, and carry out risk assessments of architectural choices.
• Guide technical teams through complex implementations, run regular technical reviews and stay current with emerging technologies.
• Work with stakeholders to understand their goals, resolve conflicting interests and evaluate existing solutions.
• Develop proof of concept and prototype demonstrations to support client evaluations.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience designing system architectures.
• 4+ years of experience with cloud-based solutions.
• Experience working in the Australian and New Zealand public sector.
• Willingness to travel 50% within the region and occasionally internationally.

Required skills

• Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Cloud-native application development.
• Knowledge of AI, ML and high-performance computing.
• Performance tuning and optimization of existing systems.
