Senior Software Engineer (Enterprise Service Management)

About the role

Adelaide University is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its IT Enterprise Service Management team, based in the IT Research Enablement & Digital Business function. The role provides senior technical expertise and leadership in designing, developing and delivering ServiceNow solutions that support enterprise service management across the university. It is a full-time, continuing position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop secure, scalable and maintainable workflows, automation and integrations
• Resolve complex technical issues and contribute to platform architecture and design decisions
• Provide technical direction, guidance and mentoring to developers and other technical team members
• Contribute to technical governance, solution and code reviews, platform standards and management of technical debt

Required profile

• Minimum of five years of hands-on ServiceNow development and platform engineering experience, ideally in large and complex enterprise environments
• Senior technical leadership experience, including mentoring developers, leading or contributing to solution and architecture decisions, and working with business stakeholders, architects, technical teams and vendors
• Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills
• Experience applying AI, intelligent automation or ServiceNow AI capabilities to improve service delivery and user experience is highly regarded

What we offer

• Salary range of $116,320 - $130,498 per annum plus 17% superannuation
• Flexible working-from-home arrangements in line with University policy
• Role primarily based at either the City or Mawson Lakes campus
